BEAUTY
But what is beauty? Is it something in the eye of the beholder? Or does it exist whether
it is beheld or not? Is it just a question of taste, or does one require an ability to perceive
the sublime? Is each instance of beauty unique, or is there a common thread?
The main stone of this ring is a 2.72 carat emerald that exhibits a quality of color, glow
and intensity of inner fire rarely seen. The centerpiece is echoed by emerald cabochons
on its ring shoulders, and wreathed by 58 IF pure white (D) brilliants and 51 yellow
sapphires. This extravagant display of jewels is set into a ring of 18k white gold.
This work is a symbol of the good friendship and fruitful cooperation of Alexander
Leyser and Stefan Elias Bofos, who began sharing their passion for colored gemstones
many years ago and still work closely together.
